The Employment Academy

Peckham, London

Client: Thames Reach

The restoration of a Grade II listed building and the construction of modern newly built space, within the footprint of a limited site area to create an education and work rehabilitation facility for the homeless community.

A limited budget and challenging brief.

Academy's quantity surveying team worked closely with the Client and architect to establish a scope and scale that was affordable to the charity. Site logistics were planned so that work on the existing and new buildings could progress concurrently and economically.

Thames Reach were extremely satisfied with the facility that has allowed hundreds of homeless to be trained in new skills.
